Not sure from State to State, but for your own protection, you should go with insurance.

If I were you I would try a different company. If you want to go on any state land over there in PA they require it,as well as NY.I know for a fact if you go someplace like Tughill the DEC and Forest Rangers are all over reg.and insurance. It is just one less fine you wont have to deal with if you get it.

We have ours insured with PROGRESSIVE. Our home and auto is with Allstate, but progressive gives pretty decent rates for quads, waverunners, motorcycles, etc.

My homeowners company won't insure quads in WV So I have to go through someone else....

There's Polaristar (Markel), for mine it was something like $350/year ($500 deductible)....I talked to someone here that had it through Nationwide and he said he only paid like $150.....

I've got to do something soon....

Nationwide isn't too bad. Pretty easy to get.

I use Transwestern through Farmer's. I pay 122/yr with an accident that I had last Dec. As long as you don't have an alcohol related accident on a atv they will insure you (at least that is what Farmers told me).

Good luck finding a low price. I got a DUI too and I'm not having any luck. Plus I'm not real sure about insurance, chances are if anything I'm gonna bend my frame and with a $500 deductible I could buy a new one.
