relax guys give 8042 a break here. i think i know whats going on. his mommy and daddy do own a dealership but hes prob. about 12 years old just spoutin out stuff he has overheard the grownups at the dealership talking about. maybe we should call the dealership he works at (after all he did post a link) and get the true story. i'd love to hear it. explain to me excatly 8402 why do cars have multiple cylinders? why does a v-8 make more power than a v-6 and don't say displacement. if you can answer this you can answer why a v-10 makes more power than a v-8. if you know the first thing about how a 4 cycle internal combustion engine works you can answer this question easy.

let's just stick to the car facts, no need for name calling people. i take it we are are adults? the reason for the v-10 is the power comes on very smoothly. thier have been a lot of vipers that have been modified to get up to 1000hp and few over that and are still resonably streetable. take someone i can't stand, jesse james, his viper puts out close to 800hp. another reason the viper itself is so popular is the race crowd is it's weight distrabution. it si balanced very good and huges the road like it is on rails, untill you get to happy with the right foot. i have road in a viper, never drove one but road, and at 75mph the driver punched it and it the feeling was undescribable. i by ford products but i do like some of the dodge vehicles. the main problem with dodge is in the mid 70s they got so cheaply built they earned a bad rep and it still hurts their resale. if i had the cash i would be willing to buy a viper. then again if i had that kinda cash i would probably buy the new lightning. chevy has had some good ones to but i think the totally screwed up when they stopped production on the camaro and the firebird, what are they thinking. yes they still have the vette but the vette mentioned earlier is going to run close to $60k. most people looking for a performance car don't have that much money to throw down. chevy has come out with some neat looking new cars like the sst but wheres the hp? htey should have put a good small block in it. as for the v-8s making good hp, well thats a no brainer. my last drag car, a 89 mustang lx was putting out over 800hp running a ford motorsports 460 aluminum block on alkahol. so there's no arguing that the v-8s have a tone of potintial. but the v-10 is just as good in it's class, which is more for road racing, but it does pretty good at the drags too. right now i don't plan on going back to the v-8s for a while because i am having to much fun with the supra although i just bought a new project for me and my son, a sunbeam tiger with a 302 in it. but i now just like always something will come along and catch my eye and one of the toys will have to go to buy something else.
