Anyone haul an atv in back of compact pickup

I have fit both my DS and V-Force in the back of a 91 shortbed ranger. Fits like a glove. They both fit easily in the back of my 98 F150, except one time the DS didn't want to stop and ended up going through the back of the truck.... @ least I have the back window I wanted!!!

This probably doesnt help but I got my quad in the back of my quadcab dakota. The tailgate is down obviously and the humps were about 3" narrower than the width of my quad but the tires just mushed past the humps. I placed some doubled up 2x6 spacers in front of the front tires to be sure the bumper didnt get anywhere near my rear window.
In the past week, I just put a Superwinch w/ a roller fairlead on and that thing pokes out a lot further than expected so Ill now be making some new spacers to accomodate that.
FWIW: I just ordered one of those bed extenders from Harbor Freights for $45, it good for 350#, as soon as I get Im gonna rig something up where Ill be able to hang the tailend of my quad on that thing if need be, might come in handy if I need to transport w/ plow in place. Somethng like that unit thats advertised in the banner above.

02, my wife has an 02 Dak, why they couldn't put another 6 inches on the bed, I don't know. Gianni, watch how close you pull it to the back of the bed. When I put my Boss in the Ranger, the ramps make it so I can put the front tires angainst the front of the bed. Did that with the Blazer in the back of the Dakota. When I strapped it down, the bumper was against the top rail of the back of the bed. For anybody out there who's a newlywed, if you want to **** your wife off, put a dent in her new truck.
