I've owned mainly 2 wheel drive atv's. Alot of people ask themselves and others if they really need a 4x4. I just wanted to write that 4 wheel drive is good if your going to drive in snow. In the past, I've driven my 2 wheel drive quads through some tough situations spinning my way up mountain sides and waving at the people on their 4x4's. Thinking to myself: "I can go almost anyplace they can go. Look at me! I made it up here and I only have 2 wheel drive." I would try to pick the right spots to drive up. Moving my weight back and forth to get the best traction possible. Sometimes I'd make a few tries at a hill before I made it up. But I made it up and with a 2 wheel drive. Now, I've had a few chances to get out in the snow and back up to the mountain with my Foreman. Four wheel drive makes it so much easier. (Like in any vehicle) Now I just drive. Sure situations will pop up where I have to find a better spot or whatever but 4x4 takes alot of the work out of riding in snow. So if you're thinking about buying a 2x4 for snow riding. Try to get a 4x4 because it's so much easier.

If I ever miss the spinning wheels of a 2x4. I can be there with a flick of the switch.
