Anybody see "Venom ER" on Animal Planet? That is the hospital where I work (I have an Immunology Research lab). They filmed in my lab, but I missed a bunch of episodes, so I haven't seen that one yet. Anyway, it is nice to have an ER full of snake bite experts, just a mile away!

 

I just want to say..being a country boy I'm not afraid of them..but they are one thing that I hate...I live where there are a lot of water snakes and everynow and then you might find a copper head (rarely, but I have seen them) I usually get my 410 out for them. or my little six shot 22...I seem to hit a lot with the mower also..not on purpose though.

 

I know what you mean about the snakes being out early this year we have been seeing them everywhere. I seen one of the biggest copperheads that i have seen in my life about a month ago. I dont know why they all came out so early this year.

 

I watch it from time to time.

I wish we had a place around here that would keep antidote on hand. Just in case. But we don't.

 

we were playin paintball the other weekend and on the way bcak to the truck to reload i almost stepped on a copper head, it coiled up so i shot it with my paintball gun (i had like 13 shots left). It jumped in the air like 1 foot! lol i've never seen a snack to that. it snapped at me and i shot it again and again till it died. first time i've ever seen a snack jump in the air.
