Ok, I see what you are saying. But as I said, I was taking issue with the fact that Kerry's war record is being beaten down. But at least he has one.
My point was that people are saying that Bush is a "strong" President and that Kerry is not willing to do what it takes to keep America safe.
To clarify my point, since again it was missed: I was saying why is Kerry considered weak as a leader in a time of war, but Bush not?
Why?

NSA1499-
The site I directed you to was by men who had served with Kerry in Vietnam, these are not partisan loyalist to Bush, they just want to set the record straight on how Kerry performed over there. In the picture of Kerry with the 19 other Navy officers only 2 of them support Kerry in his campainge, 11 said he is "unfit" to be President, 4 are neutral/no comment concerning the matter, and 2 are deceased. Kerry claims that many atrocities were committed by swift boat officers and their crews, yet he seems to be the only one who can remember anything happening.....do you think that with thousands of swift crew men serving during the war that there would be more to collaborate his story, if there was rampant war crimes going on with the swift boat crews then more people would be speaking up.
Also, Kerry is the only swift boat commander to use the 3x wounded to end his tour of duty in Vietnam early....the others went their entire tours.
To answer you question, Yes I do feel safer with Bush in the White House as opposed to Gore or Kerry. The 9/11 attacks were going to happen no matter who was in the White House. And do I care how the world sees the US....NO, we are doing the right thing and sometimes when you do the right thing the majority will be against you.
Short-sighted people like yourself NSA1499 dont see the positive impact of what we do today can yield tremendous results 10, 20, or even 30 years down the line......how about a middle east where democrarcy is the rule and not the exception, where woman have equal rights, where there is tolerance for others outside of your own religion......its not this way now and it has to start somewhere, why not in Iraq?
One last thing also, you questioned my facts...well I didn't know I needed to post my sources of info, but if that is what you want then I will start......all the #s I stated were from books and not something that I just pulled out of the sky, unlike your speculations and "absolute" facts that you got off of CNN.

Well if you think what Bush has done will be felt 30 years down the road I have no argument, I can only judge what I see now. And now I see we are looking very bad in the eyes of the World. History has proven however that long term effects of US sword rattling has not always reaped any rewards.
As far as your facts, I didn't say you were wrong, I was just telling you where I got mine from. If you don't consider CNN a reliable source as you indicate, then so be it, again I have no argument.
I will have to agree to disagree on the subject that Bush is doing good things. I just don't see it.

If Im not mistaken, Didn't Kerry (Senator Ketchup as I like to call him) pretend to throw his medals but actually threw someone elses???

Correctomundo. He threw a couple of his ribbons, and somebody else's medals. Then made hilarious excuses "Ribbons, medals, they are all the same" while his purple hearts are safe and sound.
