You made my point for me, thank you!
It was an issue to the Republicans when it came to Clinton. They called him every name they could think of for missing out on Vietnam. But Bush has not even been mentioned for his escape job at all!
But they have bashed Kerry saying he's not the man to lead this country during a war. Why not? He's obviously got the credentials, even MORE than Bush does.

This has really turned into a he said she said sorta thread. The truth is that most the figures about the U.S. government have a liberal spin and are twisted to favor the democrats. there is no source of unbiased news out there so reporting figures is a waste of time. As far as the social security system, it's just another way the government takes in revenue. Except the fact that people are starting to live longer and the government spends all the money that they were supposed to give the people when they retire. It's basically another tax. And the system is about to go backrupt because people are living longer and the government is spending more and more on a bunch worthless ****. I do believe however that we needed to liberate Iraq. So the recent spendings are ok for me. Chances are that most of us wont see a penny of our social security money. My $0.02 coming from a fifteen year old.

They have a little different take on how he served and how he is using this for the election, dare you look NSA1499......your golden boy Kerry will not seem so golden.

First off, there are just as many people who say those are all lies as those who claim they are not.
As was pointed out by our astute 15 year old above....it's all he-said-she-said at this point.
I also don't feel Kerry is a golden boy in any way. However, Bush has had 4 years and has failed us miserably at this point.
If you can honestly say America is better off now than it was 4 years ago I guess you will die with your ability to see only what you want.
If you can honestly say we are in better standing in the world now than we were 4 years ago, I guess you will only see what you want.
Do you think we and the world is safer from terrorism now? If you think so check out the stats. There have been more world attacks since we started the war in Iraq.
And since most of the worlds terrorist reside in places like Iran and Saudi Arabia, chances are liberating Iraq will do nothing to stop it.

Now you are getting into semantics. You think Bush didn't "dodge" the draft with his little ploy? Of course he did, he knew what he was doing. Either way, Clinton was not really the issue.
As usual the vast point was missed and lesser points were disected because they are easier to debate the flippant side.

Let me pose a question if I may. If Kerry is elected and then chastised about his military service record, will you not bring Bush (the then former president) into the argument to defend Kerry? I sincerely hope you will not based upon your previous comments.
