Setting up my field for riding quads...need advice..
We are currently working in my secondary field which is all sorta like hay. no bulldozing necessary. So me and my cousin went ahead and brushhogged some random paths through the field. Now we have some questions.
Some areas of the field you can go pretty fast w/ minimal bumps.... other areas are "slow riding" as they are really bumpy....
Would it be best to try to keep the field grassy or to try to wear real paths through it ??? If the path gets too bad there is plenty of field to remake it & it could be bulldozed to fix ruts if it got bad.
If we are gonna try to wear paths, what is the best way to do it? Currently we were just thinking about running around on quads a lot and eventually it would work, especially trying to power slide in the turns..... we have also thought it might work well if we wait till a little rain, so that it would be easier.
any info anyone has is greatly appriciated...wanna make something that we can cruse on at reasonable speeds and have some fun on.
thanks
