Yeah, but the whip just slides right through it! Is the whip to skinny? Or is there a way to pull the lowest part down? (Does that make sense) Let me rephrase that... At the bottom of the spring is a washer of some kind. Can that washer be pulled down(flush)?

Its really sounding like your shaft is too small. allotta times if ya get the cheapy flags they skimp on the glass and its to small. Id take the nut to a shop and see if they have a flag that has a lil snugger fit. it should be a pretty snug fit goin it. works better that way [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

And if the shaft is too small, you are going to snap that thing in half all of the time.

 

Really, These things were not cheap either!!! Darn shop! Can I stick something in it to make it fit?
