I'm gonna buy parts (Swingarm and a few other parts) that have rusted on my quad, anyone know how I can keep 'em from rusting "forever"??

If the stock paint is that week you may want to have them powder coated. I guess you could spray it down with wd-40 after every ride. Sound's real messy though. Just so we are on the same page on this. You are rusting thru the stock paint???

I would say you have to powder coat those item's or possibly plate. Chrome or nickel. Paint is probubly cheaper though. Does the rest of the frame rust too?? The low budget way would be to repaint with a good rust preventive spray paint(rustoleum) before ever mounting new pieces.

If you have a place that does powder coating it may be pretty cheap to get it done. Most places have at least a 3 to 4 chemical treatment before the paint. Some have even more. The more you bring to them the cheaper it gets so get a few people together and send them a lot of stuff.

Yes it would raise the cool factor, but do you really want to have to polish a frame. If this was a show quad or maybe one used only in the sand, chrome would be a little easier to live with, but if it will see mud I wouldn't do it. I also think powder coating would be cheaper. I had my son's WR250 frame/kick stand done in yamaha blue, $200.00 I dont have any idea how much chrome would cost. Let us know what you do.
