1 million US military personel have already had their boots on the ground in Iraq. 300,000 are on their second tour or have already completed their second tour. 40% of those serving in Iraq are reserve or Gaurd. We have been in Iraq for over 2 years and it is getting worse. With the numbers I mentioned where are we gonna get the manpower to carry this fantasy of Iraqi democracy for another 3 or 4 years? The numbers don't add up. Reserve and Gaurd recruitment is already dropping off drastically. They don't join the gaurd to gaurd Iraq, it was meant as a home defence force. Bush's folly of nation building, which BTW he promised to never do so shortly after he was elected in 2000, is beginning to wear down the world's greatest military.
If he wasn't so arrogant, perhaps he wouldn't have fired the ruling class of Iraq after we deafeated Saddam. Even now leading republicans are saying that Bremmer's firing of all Bathists and Iraqi Military was a huge blunder. We could have saved ourselves a lot of trouble if we even had the slightest understanding of what we were getting into. Obviously we didn't. A third rate guerrilla insurgency has made Bush and his advisors look clueless.

Guess what.... it wasn't my idea to take on a secular dictatorship, while fighting religious fan atics. BUT, if I did have the audacity to drag my country into it, you can bet your butt I would have had at least half of a realistic plan. Unlike the clown who I see on the news every night talking in terms of "evil doers" and "Good vs Evil" as if he was selling something to a second grader. He is in denial of reality, as is anyone who sits here and cheers him on.

When the guys on Bush's side.....MCCain, Luger, Lott are calling for Rumsfeld's head. And he gives a speach saying, "I know Rumsfeld's heart" and basically states nothing more than Rummy is OK with me, in the hopes that the issue will go away.....that to me, is a perfect example of living in denial of reality.
Other than that this is a good read. Not what I would do on Friday nite, but still good. >>>>

Sorry, I just feel that all over the internet and the real world, I see and hear Bush supporters cheering this war on. I personally wil not stand by and let the pep rally go without intetjecting what I feel is "reality"
If everyone stays quite while sham is being pulled in our great country, that is not very American. As Thomas Jefferson said, love your country and question your leaders.
