I read an article on treatment of necrotic bites....
bottle fly larvae. Also known as maggots. they put a bunch of sterile eggs on the wound, and wrap it up. The eggs hatch and the maggots eat. They will only eat dead flesh and secrete an antiseptic that prevents infection.
This cleans up and cures a necrotic bite in weeks instead of months... if you can stand it.
