bad spark

Default bad spark

I have a rm250 and it have bad spark it is not a nice blue spark it is like purple and it will not run.. Is that the coil or what do you guy's think it is?? thank's

My friend had the same problems with his dirtbike, check the output of the stator, its supposed to be around 8 volts. After that check to see if you have power coiming out of the module, up by the forks.

Have you tried a new spark plug, and get the same results?
Hows the compression?

yea I did tried a new plug and it have good compression.

Did you get the bike wet? My friend's bike turned out to be the stator, when we took the cover off there was water in there from a blown stator gasket. We replaced that and the coil and it ran like a champ.
