95 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4, $5k, good deal?
Seeing as I'm the only person with a Honda that breaks down every other week, I decided to sell my car and am looking for a truck to haul my ATC around. I really like the looks of the 94 up Dodge Ram's, but want opinions from a performance and reliability standpoint, so if anyone has a truck similar to this, any pros and cons you can tell me will be appreciated. Sorry, the ad is in a local newpaper, so no pics on the net.
1995 Dodge Ram 1500 (std cab) 5 SPD, 4X4, AC, PS, Cruise, Sliding window, Alloys-$4995.
The picture is black and white, but the body looks straight, and it looks to have oversized tires and possibly a small lift. I don't know if it has the V6 or V8, although I think I read the 4 wheel drive 1500's came with a 318. It's also from a dealer. Is $5k a decent price, most other chevy's and fords are similarly priced, so it sounds good to me. Are there any major design flaws with this particular year of truck? Thanks guys.

I've got a 2wd, 94' dodge, 1500, loaded, with the 318 and it has been a good truck. The only thing I have had to replace is the starter and in it besides regular maintnance items. It isn't to bad on gas mileage compared to other full size truck and it has good power for what it is. Sounds mean with the Flowmasters I have on too
If it is 5K from a dealer you can talk them down some, but 5K isn't a bad price as long as it doesn't have really high mileage. What is the milaege? Also a nice thing about these bodies is they don't rust easy as long as you don't leave em filthy all the time.
LOL, And if you get a Ford, make sure you get one with the hand warmers on the tailgate for when you have to push it off the road!

Thank you motox. I do not know the mileage, I'm going to go check it out later today if I get around to it.
Oh, and I would never buy a Ford, unless of course it was a new powerstroke with some nice goodies!
