the reason we dont know the full potential of the oil deposits in anwar is becuase we are so restrited in our methods of test drilling and whatnot becuase the like already stated hippies throw a fit and say its going to throw off the entire ecosystem upthere which is definatly a bunch of BS becuase an full production oil rig only occupies one acre of land. so test drilling couldnt take more than that. and i cant exactly tell you what my dad does but he meets with ALOT of the politions and has met with the president twice and is VERY up to date on enviromental issues and all that stuff. and this is info from him and his very informed friends. some of this info may have already been stated but i was to lazy to read it al fully. anyways if we could do some slightly more invasive tests we could find out the deposits full potential.
