For those who may have seen the debates on TV recently, I thought this article might illustrate Bro Gore's considerable talent for stretching the truth when it suits his purpose.

Thanks for sharing this information, hot_shoe_cv.

While I respect ATVers who support Gore for other reasons, Gore's candidacy for President bears a significance to ATVing.

Not only will a Gore victory sustain the Clinton-Gore administration's unilateral land-grab, already closing millions of acres to public access (including, but not limited to ATVers) without discussion or consent; Gore has clearly identified the internal combustion engine (like the ones powering your ATV, your car, etc.) an "enemy of the people" he want to eliminate. Further, Gore insists on increasing our dependence upon foreign oil, opposing even environmentally-sound domestic oil exploration, development, and refining; desabilizing the world balance of power, a situation posing severe restrictions on not only the future of ATVing but the future, period.

I believe I've heard Gore claim on TV he'd "walked guard and been shot at in Vietnam . . ;" I always wondered about the combat scenario of his personal war experiences.

You cleared up questions in my mind--I also wondered about Gore's academic record at divinity school--I read where he completed no courses there, that is, took "F's" in all his subjects and dropped out.

This behavior, dropping/flunking out of school, didn't appear typical of a guy who now goes to great lengths (with media accomplices) to demonstrate how "smart" he is.

Could enrollment in divinity school have been a ruse to get out of Vietnam, not unlike Clinton's fraudulent enrollment in R.O.T.C. to evade the draft?

True patriots, these guys! One, even a hero, by his account.

Finally, I agree with you, hot_shoe_cv; yes, vote, do!

More Gore ... Here's an email I got yesteday from my cousin:

Subject: Want Your Money Back?

Tired of so much of your money going to the government?
Want some back? Then vote on November 7.
Here is the bottom line:
If you pay federal income taxes, under Bush's plan you will get a tax cut.
At his convention, Al Gore said only the "right people" should get tax cuts. Problem is, Gore leaves out 50 million taxpayers.
That's no typo - Gore does not think 50 million
taxpaying Americans are the "right people."

It's up to you to help reach these 50 million people so they can get the facts.
Send this email to as many taxpayers as you know.
Use the Bush tax calculator to figure out your savings
under the Bush Tax Cut Plan:
http://www.georgewbush.com/TaxCalculator.asp
or
Read George W. Bush's proposals yourself by going here:
http://www.georgewbush.com/issues/taxes.html
If you send it to 10 taxpayers and those 10 send it to 10 more, and so on, then your tax cut will become a reality. That's money you can use to pay off credit card debt, make that car downpayment, start saving for college, or do whatever else YOU want with YOUR money.
That's the point: it's YOUR MONEY.
Vote Bush November 7 and get the tax cut you deserve.

Did someone forward this to you? Help make this tax cut
a reality, get on the Bush eTrain, sign up here:

I understand, from an expose' on The History Channel, that Al Bore never came close to being wounded in Viet Nam, as he was often mistaken for a dead tree stump.

Neither Al gore or George Bush float my boat.I cant stand what Gore wants to do to our public riding area's,and I also hate the fact that Bush's State of Texas min wage is 335 per hr.He turned down a bill to raise the minimum wage 6 times allready.Who can survive at this wage?Of coures these are ONLY a few things about these two I dislike.

I have been a Dem my entire life, but I must say, neither of these idiots will get my vote this yr,
Bill

What Gore wants to do? You mean what he IS doing and has been doing!
All of the folks I grew up with and did not want to do homework or pay attention in class are now the ones with minimum wage jobs. They should not try and blame the government for their situation as an adult. One of my best friends is a neurosurgeon and grew up without running water. He was poor, but worked hard. He didn't have any atvs or other luxuries. He had to work jobs while going to school. He made it fine. If someone has a minumum wage job, they need to do something about it on their own. Waiting for someone else to do it is not a solution.

Doc,
Your statement is not entirely true. There are ALOT of kids today and in the past that did their homework, got good grades, and payed attention in class and still have a low paying job.Even after completing College today, does not gaureentee everyone a good living because there simply is to much Corporate greed going on in todays big bussiness's.

There are simply TO many low wage big CORPORATE jobs in todays world. This is only ONE example of hundreds,

Yrs ago,I worked as a Union HI-LO driver at a well known local brewing co.I made a Union hrly wage of 15.35 per hr.It was not the greatest living, however,I did survive ok on it.I got laid off a yr later. While laid off,I was getting unempoyment benifits for awhile afterwords.I was actively seeking work as a HiLo driver to.

I answered this ad in the newspaper for a HiLo driver at a large Plastics Corporation nearby.Their wage for an experienced HiLo driver was 6.50 per hr.This is the SAME Corporation that knocked down millions in profits that yr.These are the same idiots that will allow you to work 70 hrs per wk for them and give you shi- for wages. Some worker's were REQUIRED to work them hrs or get fired. These type of working conditions and wages is known as CORPORATE GREED.I also beleive that it is Mr Bush that wants to BAN overtime wages.I CANT STAND FOR CORPORATE GREED.

Im a FIRM beleiver in that if the employee's are a big reason for the outstanding profits of todays bussiness's,they should be payed accordingly. After all,it's essentially the employee's who make the bussiness work or fail. Why be greedy if the profits are there?

While the hard working employee's are working for peanut wages, and putting in 70-plus hrs a wk to support their family's,guess who's getting rich?I have NO respect for these types of people or the jobs they claim to give. There is very little pride in working for a greedy company like this, and guess what? There's thousands more just like them in OUR country right now.

You said that if someone has a minimum wage job that they should do something about it on their own and not to wait for someone else to do something for them. With todays greedy,Corporate companys, theres not much to do,except probably get the same low paying, greedy wages at the next Corporation. There are a few good ones out there, but you really have to get lucky,
Bill
