Default gearshift adjustment????

how do you adjust the gearshift on a z250? i had on some off road boots on and could not get my toes under the shifter to change gears. i literally had to force my foot downwards to get under the toe shifter. no problems with regular shoes but i want to use my boots more cuz of the protection it provides. anybody have a z250 who made adjustments to the gearshift? i checked the manuel but could not find anything.

Default gearshift adjustment????

Welcome to the forum outtaluck, Im not to familar with a Z250 but assuming its a shift lever on a splined shaft you would loosen the bolt on the shift lever and remove it. Then pull the shift lever off the shaft and reposition it on the splined shaft one spline higher.

outtaluck-Like he said, just raise the lever a notch. This is just one of those adjustments that everybody (who is in the know) makes on a new machine.
