Default fav muscle car

I like the classic Cougars...'69 and the '70 Eliminators.
They don't have the following (or the price) of the Camaros, Chevelles, Mustangs, but I like the lines better.

In 1978 I bought a 68 Cougar XR7, leather with the burl wood dash and toggle switches for all those little lights, what a neat car. Built a good 302 for it and put gears in it, I shoulda kept it.

Oh I paid $1595 and it was in near perfect condition. Them were the days.

I built a 460 for my 66 Fairlane GTA. It weighed about 3550, like a Mustang would with that engine. You could fit one in any 67-73 stang no problem. The 460 was by far the best of those old big Ford engines, and you could make massive power with them. That Fairlane was real fun, hit the gas at 80 mph and it just pulled hard as long as you'd stay in it. Course the whole car gets all loose at about 110 and that's all you'd want to go....
