Boy I wish we had more snow to. Here in southern Wisconsin we only have 2 to 3 inches on the ground. Thats not enough to even open the snowmobile trails. But then again I'm glad i traded in my sled for my new quad.

We have about 11 inches of snow here in Gillham, Arkansas. Gillham is in the southwest corner of the state. It has snowed for a little over 24 hours and the wind has been blowing it at about a 45 degree angle. I have been riding all day in the snow and having a blast. This is the first good snow we have had in about ten years. I was suprized how well my 450ES and Super Swampers done in the snow. My stock 300 Bayou, didn't do too well though, every time you stopped it was stuck. Can't wait until morning, to start riding again.

Well we only have about 5 inches in lower Michigan. The Sportsman is probably the best of all 4x4s in snow, giving it's weight of 697lbs,AWD system, and superior traction with Mudrunners all the way around. This thing really likes the snow.I wish we'd get nailed with about another foot though.====BILL

We have some snow....here in upstate NY. Around 10-12 inches of mostly soft top with a hard base.....

I love getting out and riding in the stuff.....But here is one area where the 4x4's have the advantage......

I myself ride a Banshee...and let me tell you......It's all kinds of work to ride the thing in the snow....no problem in the summer. But talk about getting stuck. I don't even think I will try it again. I ride every year...even through the winter. But now I think I have changed my mind. I will park it until spring or at least until some of the snow melts. Any thing deeper than about 5-6 inches....and forget about it. All I end up doing is overheating the engine. And if I decide to stop for any reason.....I am stuck....I even reversed my Bandits on the rear and it still did not want to do anything but spin. maybe studs? hehe

Oh well.....glad to hear that everyone else is having fun though.

I will say that I have all kinds of traction on a packed snowmobile trail....thats if you can sneak a quick ride before all the snowmobilers start whining.

Well,
I'm close to Kilgore Texas and we got about six inches of sleet and ice... WHAT A BLAST!!!!.... I have been driving around in it on the Scrambler and the Magnum carving up miles of roads... Got to pull two trucks and a car out of ditches so far....
We were using a big plastic storage container for a "sled" until we borrowed a hood from the next door neighbors "project pile"
Too bad its probably all gonna be gone tomorrow....

Bill, lately I've been noticing your attitude toward Polaris getting much higher than before. You must really like your Sportsman now.
