This same practice is very obvious in the "news" you are subjected to by the majority of the various talking heads on TV.
One of many advantages we enjoy is our right to free speech. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Sorry about that tencubed, you are right. I don't think I did a good job explaining myself. Yes I agree that it is good to study history so we don't repete our doom, what I was trying to get at is the Democrates and Republicans seem to spend so much time talking about what they should have done, instead of thinking about what they need to do now.

Catterman I have read your posts for some time and appreciate your input even if I don't always agree with your point of view. What you have posted here, however, I must take exception to.
There is an old saying to the effect that "He who fails to learn from his history is doomed to repeat it". This has held true for a very long time. I don't know if you really thought about this but can't, considering many of your past comments, understand why you would advocate ignoring what has happened and attempt to correct this situation by simply saying "do over".
I don't think that will work. I fully agree we have a job to finish and what we are doing now is not working but also know there is no simple or easy way to set aside thousands of years of distrust and religious bigotry without understanding the past.
Just my opinion but I feel I have a valid point.

Maybe I got a little off subject, but the point is it doesn't matter if you like Bush or hate him, what happened in the past is irrerelevent and we need to correct the situation now, now and not worry about history. I for one feel we have a job to finish so that the Iraq people can be safe, and that my kids can be too.

I understand what you are saying and agree with the lack of viable options coming from congress. This tends to support the theory that no one really knows how to solve all aspects of the problems facing us in this war.
Thanks for your response, it just didn't sound like you.

This same practice is very obvious in the "news" you are subjected to by the majority of the various talking heads on TV.

Learned my lesson along time ago. Do not post political or religious comment's on open forum's. It only creates A large feud with hard feelings and has nothing to do with the fourm as we all know it. So no comment to this subject from me.

Im assuming we are all guys in this discussion, which means we have logic in our grasp. Dont use emotion to figure this out, just use common sense and logic.
98% of the media in USA is controlled by 5 to 7 white , old , extremly wealthy guys. Sound like a group of liberals? After they figure out what gets into print and what gets buried...do they go to the knitting club?
Most all guys think alike. If you were in thier shoes..wouldnt you push your adgenda (im not saying lying, im saying pushing your slant, or framing the issue favorably). I know I would, and if youre honest, youd answer the same.
Im a conservative, and have been all my life. I believe in the constitution and defending it. I believe in the rule of law, and the discussion and investigation of illegal acts.
Over 60% of americans think we are headed the wrong way, and if the media is controlled by liberals...it just doesnt make sense why they arent screaming for impeachment. I know I want investigations, and if things need be, then impeachment. The contitution needs defending, the rule of law needs defending. He11, i wouldnt care if he were my father in law...if illegal acts were committed, by liberals or conservatives, then someone needs jail time.
Now, just by using your god given talents as a man (logic and common sense)( and i dont mean any slam on any women readers) answer why you believe the media is liberal.

Seems to me you may have been influenced by some subculture. Could it be we have common ground?
