For those who think we have a liberal media

98% of the media in USA is controlled by 5 to 7 white , old , extremly wealthy guys. Sound like a group of liberals? After they figure out what gets into print and what gets buried...do they go to the knitting club?
Most all guys think alike. If you were in thier shoes..wouldnt you push your adgenda (im not saying lying, im saying pushing your slant, or framing the issue favorably). I know I would, and if youre honest, youd answer the same.
Im a conservative, and have been all my life. I believe in the constitution and defending it. I believe in the rule of law, and the discussion and investigation of illegal acts.
Over 60% of americans think we are headed the wrong way, and if the media is controlled by liberals...it just doesnt make sense why they arent screaming for impeachment. I know I want investigations, and if things need be, then impeachment. The contitution needs defending, the rule of law needs defending. He11, i wouldnt care if he were my father in law...if illegal acts were committed, by liberals or conservatives, then someone needs jail time.
Now, just by using your god given talents as a man (logic and common sense)( and i dont mean any slam on any women readers) answer why you believe the media is liberal.

I don't support Bush because he isn't a true conservative but the opposition is much worse, can you imagine our country if Kerry, Hilary or Obama Husain were president?
That's scary....
Tom
Because we dont hold anyone accountable anymore, itll be like a union shop....past practices are the law.
For anyone whos unsure of the reasons why the need for impeachment, read this very good article on why

This would be a good post for the democraticunderground site, not here. Politics here should stay on topics on how to keep the riding areas open, not bashing each other. can't we all just get along??

If you don't like it, you don't have to post.....It will find it's way to the bottom of the heap....... This may be a hotbutton issue for some who lack self-control, but for those who can control themselves much can be discussed without the need of capslock and bashing..... my 2 cents

Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in Iraq?
Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?
Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 new schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been completed in Iraq?
Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institute ties or colleges and 4 research centers, all currently operating?
Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?
Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational?
They have 5 - 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.
Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers?
Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?
Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?
Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?
Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities , 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.
Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?
Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October?
Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?
Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?
Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?
Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently y?
Of course we didn't know!
Why didn't we know?
Our media wouldn't tell us!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.
Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:
It is intended to undermine the world's perception o f the United
States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens.
Above facts are verifiable on the Department of Defense web site.

Scootergptx- Excellent post, I have had friends serve and work over there and they have told me that what is reflected in the media here is not the reality that they often see over there.
Like I said before, if you took Iran and Syria out of the picture things would settle down a lot faster in Iraq. Iran, Syria, and even North Korea only benefit if they can help keep the US slowed up in Iraq.
With Iran I don't think the US will have to take as hard a stance due to the fact that Isreal will need to act for self preservation.
