Well, this ended up quite well. I'm pretty happy too because I have out-of-state family coming in about 1/2 hr and I don't know how much time I would have been able to devote to this for a while. Its always good when people with differences can become friends inspite of it. Understanding each other will be a growing process.... because our views are complicated and so different, but I think at the heart we're not all that different. We are all here for the same reason our love of the sport. How we ride and what we ride may be different and I am sure you are not out to hurt our sport as I am not. We will just agree to disagree is all.

The last thing I have to say is that I don't think comparing cars and atv's sould be done. The only reason is because there are many more cars and drivers than there are riders. So of course there is gonna be more that get hurt and killed in a car accident but I do understand the comparison.

Have fun with your family.

I was just saying cars from a damage-to-society standpoint. Something of epidemic proportions that warrants lawmakers immediate attention. As opposed to carpal tunnnel syndrone from pinball machines or something that is not all that detrimental to society at large.... Even though it may be a big deal to the person with the affliction.

Well, gotta run. Thanks! TTYL

Randy how do have time to analyze, quote, and write all of these novels man. LMAO! And just to reply to your Know it all remarks, I do know what I'm talking about and I never called you any names if you read more closely. And to say that no one here has the level of intelligence that you have, Wow is all I have to say. Interesting to me that you're the judge of who's intelligent and who's not. I do agree that we will have to agree to disagree. Hope you stay safe on your LT230 without a helmet. Good luck out there. One more thing, if you're going to cite a website do it with one that has a Non-biased Fact based account. Later!

Oh Lord! You sure know how to play the proverbial turd in the punchbowl.... You've taken a thread that ended up so nicely and stunk it up with your mental flatuance.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Randy how do have time to analyze, quote, and write all of these novels man. LMAO! </end quote></div>

Well, when all you're used to reading is the back of a box of Fruit Loops, I suppose a couple of paragraphs would seem like a novel.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>And just to reply to your Know it all remarks,</end quote></div>

Know it all remarks??? How is this for a know it all remark? <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> And please stop trying to give good reasons for NOT wear a helmet, there are NONE!</end quote></div>
How would you know that??? Are you the oracle of atvs?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I do know what I'm talking about and I never called you any names if you read more closely.</end quote></div>

Really??? <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>JustRandy your a piece of work man!</end quote></div> I'm a piece of work? <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>It just shows your not using that thing your NOT protecting anyways.</end quote></div> I'm brain dead? <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>you're being kind of a hypocrite</end quote></div> I'm a hypocrite? The only reason you know how to spell hypocrite is because I have posted it,,, since you obviously don't know what it means! If I was a hypocrite, I would be wearing my helmet and telling you not to. WTF?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>And to say that no one here has the level of intelligence that you have, Wow is all I have to say.</end quote></div>

Wow is what YOU should say. I never said nobody here has the level of intelligence I have. But what I am saying is that YOU could make a goose look like a genious.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>It's people like you that get Stupid laws made and gives us all a bad name.</end quote></div>
Glad you agree that helmet laws are stupid. And you will always have a bad name as long as you continue to talk without first giving thinking a shot.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Well if I judge this by what you have on your photo page you won't be going fast enough to need a helmet anyway so your logic kind of works there.</end quote></div>
So, if I keep it under 60, its ok by you not wearing a helmet???

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>One more thing, if you're going to cite a website do it with one that has a Non-biased Fact based account. Later! </end quote></div>

No! There are pro-helmet-law websites and there are anti-helmet-law websites. Where can I find a website that is both pro and anti law??? Who out there is both pro and anti abortion??? Anyone? Unless you are John Kerry's little boy and have been taught to be for and against everything at the same time.... You shoud try thinking before you start blabbing lest your self-proclaimed bad name becomes permanent.

Oh jeez, there we go with all of the analyzing and quoting again. And Mr. Smart guy, how many years of college do you have under your belt? No I didn't learn how to read or spell from you I acctually DO have a college education and I am currently enrolled. I'm sure everyone would agree with me that you're making a bigger *** of yourself the more comments you post. All I can do is laugh when I read your jibberish. And if you can't figure out why I called you a hypocrite I'm not going to spell it out for you. Let me give you some advice, stop talking now! Nobody wants to hear your stupid rants. I know it's hard to swallow your pride on this one but you just got to do it. That all being said, let's all go have some fun riding and enjoy the freedoms that we have before they get taken from us.

Greetings,
I am a newbie to this forum (website.) I would like to add my 2 cents worth on the value of helmets.
Just wanted to publicly thank my husband's helmet mfg as he had his first roll-over this weekend after 5 years of duning. Only thing busted was the vent under the visor. Couldn't believe the impact he sustained in such deep sand.
We were riding on virgin sand at Sand Mtn, NV after an incredible windstorm the night before. The dunes we were on could hardly be described as speed bumps, they were small! The sand was deep, turned around and there was my precious hubby tucked in an upside down somersault pushing his 400ex off of his body! The only real scare was when he tried to stand up too quickly, he immediately fainted, with his eyes open (I thought he was having a seizure)....had him evaluated at the local ER, he's fine.
Many thanks to Angel and Justin who escorted us all the way back to camp!
I feel sorry that the debate over helmets rages on.....spend some time in any emergency room that is located close to riding access. Might change your mind.
Or, have a generous life insurance policy for your family.

Many Thanks! My son has also been saved from a serious head injury by wearing his helmet.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> No I didn't learn how to read or spell from you I acctually DO have a college education and I am currently enrolled.</end quote></div>

Delivering pizzas to a dorm doesn't count as an education.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I'm sure everyone would agree with me that you're making a bigger *** of yourself the more comments you post.</end quote></div>

Well, everyone can't agree because I DON'T. I don't need anyone to agree with me to take a stand like you do. I don't follow the heard of cattle.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>All I can do is laugh when I read your jibberish.</end quote></div>

Drool is probably more accurate description.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>And if you can't figure out why I called you a hypocrite I'm not going to spell it out for you.</end quote></div>

Because you can't,,, apparently. I don't think you've fully understood the meaning of the word yet. Eventually, you might get it.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Let me give you some advice, stop talking now!</end quote></div>

You can give me advice all you want.... I know what to do with it. Its your kids I worry about.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Nobody wants to hear your stupid rants.</end quote></div>

You do! Or else you wouldn't check back and read them.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I know it's hard to swallow your pride on this one but you just got to do it.</end quote></div>

Pride is not an issue with me. And the only one swallowing anything around here is you (from the looks of photo you posted).

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>That all being said, let's all go have some fun riding and enjoy the freedoms that we have before they get taken from us.</end quote></div>

That's the first intelligent thing I've heard form you since you began riding my ***.

Welcome to the forum! Let me clear things up on my point of view. I'm not saying wearing helmets is a bad thing. I'm saying I don't want the government to tell me to wear them. I want the choice. That is all. Sometimes I may choose to wear one,,, and sometimes not. Read my first post on this thread about 10-15 posts ago. It has all the reasons I feel the way I do.

There really is not much of a debate raging about wearing helmets. The debate is having the freedom to choose in America. However, everyone confuses that and sees me as attacking their freedom to ride a quad because I choose not to wear a helmet. That's just not true, but I get told "weed out the stupid" anyway.... because, apparently I bring out the irrational, animalistic side of people.

Again, welcome to the forums! There is a variety of folks here and I'm sure you'll find many people to be friends with if you want.
