Default was i a big moron or a little one

i bought a generic a.t.v. (wildfire) for a good price (if there should have been a price at all). after i bought it i said to myself hmmmmm i wonder if i can find parts for this thing. i probably should have researched this prior to buying, (note the message title). i reconnected my internet the day after and did some research found some bad reviews and found out the answer was, not likely. so far it runs good and took some beatings.(none like my yamaha) does anyone anyone know anything about these atvs, or how much of a moron i was, am.....

The thing to do is try and find out which other models are similar for parts. Many of the Chinese machines are made in the same factories and/or are knockoffs of each other/older Japanese designs. Good luck with it.

I'd say your a big moron, For two reasons. First reason because you bought a chinese made bike. Second because you did some research on it AFTER you bought the bike, your suppost to do that before

I'm looking at buying one of those things for my kid for two reasons.
1) I can buy four of them for the price of one new brand name (he's 6, he'll outgrow it anyhow)
2) my neigbor has two for his kids (two years now)and he hasn't had any problems with them (and his kids beat the heck out of them-I've seen how they ride)
I believe according to the website, they use a Honda motor. I looked and it's hard to beat a $600 ATV shipped to your door...even if it's disposable!
Let me know how it runs and if any troubles pop up.
Buck

It depends on how good you are with a wrench. And having some welding/fabricating skills will help to. With those skills Id say youll ba all right. With out any of those skills.....Your a big moron!! .

WHATS UP SBUCK, I JUST CHECKED THE POST I PUT UP ABOUT MY WILDFIRE. I WAS SUPRISED TO SEE SOME MORE REPLIES, THANKS. SO FAR I HAVE BEEN PRETTY HARD ON THE THING. IVE BURIED IT IN MUD AND WATER UP TO THE EXHAUST, HAD THE THROTTLE PEGGED MOST OF THE TIME, HARD ON THE TRANNY AND CLUTCH BECAUSE IT TOOK ME A FEW RIDES TO GET USED TO 4 DOWN(DIFF. THAN MY YAMAHA). I DIDNT MENTION THAT THIS QUAD IS 200 CC SHAFT DRIVEN.
SO, ACTUALLY ITS HOLDING UP VERY WELL, NO PROBLEMS YET. ACTUALLY THE AIR FILTER IS POSITIONED KIND OF LOW. THIS ALMOST BECAME A PROBLEM. I REALLY LIKE THE SHAFT DRIVE IT GIVES ME SOME PEACE OF MIND IN TALL GRASS ROCKS, AND OTHER ****. THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THYAT. IF YOU GET SOME MORE INFO LET ME KNOW. THANKS.

HAPPY AND SAFE RIDING ZEEKS
