Webbing on DB Nerf Bars
#1
Could anyone tell me the correct(best) method for installing the webbing on Nerf Bars? I recently purchased DG alloy bars for my 400EX, and am having a difficult time threading the webbing.
I'm talking specifically about which slots to use when threading(there are 4 for each thread). I know enough to come through the top, but then what? It's pretty tight to zigzag between slots, and I'm having a difficult time fishing it. I've tried everything from steel wire to an ice pick with no avail.
Thanks...
dmichael.

It has been a while since I did mine, but I will try and remember.
I think you start at the top hole and go into the bars. Then come out the bottom hole. Go back in the next hole up (3rd from top) and back out the next hole up (2nd from top). This way the pressure of the netting getting tighter will actually lock the netting in place.
I actually did it wrong the first time. A friend pointed it out. I do not think I finished fixing both sides. It was a real pain trying to thread it through. I think I used a small screwdriver to push the netting through the whole, then grabbed it with a pair of plyers.
Take your time and you will get it.

I have AC nerfs and i dont know if there the same but i know there were a pain also.My netting broke and i took it off to sew it and had a real hard time putting it back.On AC brand you come up through the bottom hole out the middel hole down through the top and back out the bottom behind the net where you started. I used small screwdriver ,plyers and a lot of patients.I hope this helps.
