can anyone recommend a company that insures your atv for the following:
environmental fines if your atv falls through the ice on a frozen body of water
and
cost of salvage/recovery of the atv from the body of water
thanks!

I have my Honda's insured. I'll look at my policies tomorrow and let you know what they include. I have State Farm. I do know that they are insured like a car. Full coverage, PIP, medical.....etc. I pay around $250 a year for each.

I wouldn't expect the atv insurance to cover fines for environmental clean up, or for forest fighting costs or stuff like that...
Might check your home owners about that kind of liability, but I don't think anything would cover criminal fines.

we have full coverage on two of the three we have through All-State.....
They will cover liability, comp and theft....... but I am hard-pressed to believe they would cover any fines levied against an ATV owner....... that would be like them paying your speeding tickets when you are busted going 90 on the Interstate.

I don't no about your state , but in North Ga. they don't cover any kind of fine's ; i've got full coverage on my 2006 Arctic Cat FIS Auto 4x4 for $104.00 a year !
And it has to be kept locked in a garage or shed to cover theif , but it's covered again't collision liability , property damage , bodily injury and it cover's the quad damage ; but they won't pay any kind of Fine's you get so i would think the answer is no !
Just call or go to your insurance agent where you get your Automonile insurance , to find out for sure !...........

I heard of a guy who accidentially had a camp fire get away from him, and when he got charged with the cost of fighting the fire home owners covered it.
This situation might be different. I'm sure no insurance would cover criminal fines.
To get the real answer, I'd talk to your agent.
