I carry a small 12 volt compressor with tire plugs and tools. Has come in handy a few times both for myself and others.

I keep mine in the lower compartment of my fender bag and it gets submerged on a pretty regular basis so it is secured in a small waterproof box with the plugs, rubber cement and tools. The whole outfit weights maybe a pound or two.

 

yeah that would probably be safe enough

I still kind of like the ingenuity factor so I'm going to keep thinking about an engine compression inflator!
