well this is a heck of a place to pose such a question isnt it? kinda like goin to a *** site and ask'n how to pick up women.....hehehe.
just kidd'n man, im not sure who held the "shiznit" bike for 98 but id' go with the bike you like most for what ever the reason. pick the one that fits and feels best. unless your a pro, you could probably ride all 4
of the big name bikes and never tell the difference in their performance factors. they're all to competetive for the average rider to tell the diference. pick the one you dig, and adjust to it.......

i know i wanted to post it on a dirtbike sight but i don't know any. I am not sure what size to get though i am 15 6foot and 152 pounds. I don't want to get to small of a bike and grow out of it too fast.

This is an ATV site (try extremedirtbike.com) but I'll try to help. I've only ridden an RM 125 and loved it. My friend owns 2 RM 250's and swears by them. Still, you should check out what bike works for you. I would look around in an auto trader or newspapers. RM 250's are nice bikes but you should find the right one for you.

Look for a CR or YZ and you won't be dissapointed. The new KTM's are sweet and already come piped and jetted but you will probably have a hard time getting one used, (it's about $6000 for the KTM 250mx new). I like my Quads but I'll be back on bikes as soon as my kid grows a little and can ride one.

Best dirt bike site I've seen is www.dirtrider.net.

Personally, I like 4 stroke dirt bikes, but that's because most of my riding is mountainous and I want a bike that can be made street legal. I've got 2 XR400s, one with the IMS 440 kit. Also have a dr250, which I recommend too.

For racing, I like the Honda CR or Yamaha YZ. For just running around, I like the Honda XR.
ride safe!

Indeed this is a quad site, but hey, can't we all just get along?! I have ridden a CR250, Rm, CR500, and Yz125. THe two cr's were crazy power and the handling felt a little heavy. The yz i rode had just a pipe on it and had great power. It handled really well and was a 2000. Of all the bikes, i liked it best, it had better handling and suspension(basically the same as the 250 chassis) and the power didn't seem overwhelming, but it was there when you needed it. Is this your first dirtbike? IF so i would recommend something small. Considering your age and size, i would recommend the yz125. I'm 18, 195 and just over six feet. It hauled me around like nothing. But, you also need to pick a bike that you feel comfortable on. Good luck, and keep riding quads!
