Trailers, getting your kit in and out of the woods

Moose I found the stove I bought on this web site MSR® DragonFly™ multi-fuel camp stove.. The guys at work are mighty impressed with it. We tried a two gallon pot on it today and had the water boiled in less then 10 minutes. The only problem we found was that the pot was about 13" across and if you didn't center it then the whole got a little unstable. If you're carefull or put some rocks or something around it to help hold the pot then no problem. Should do great for a corn boil on the trail.
You also have a lot of control over the amount of flame/heat. It works great on unleaded fuel and we didn't notice much difference between the regular gas and camp fuel. I am beginning to think this just might be one of the best investments for the upcoming trip that I could of made. Thanks for the idea, looks the old two burner coleman might be staying home.

I usually take the Coleman stove when we go "cramping". That is to say, camping out of the truck in a "crampground" or with a bunch of others at some land we have. We usually camp the night before playing paintball up in NH. Then, I take a 2 burner and a 3 burner Coleman stove for pancakes for all the kids and big kids.

Hey you got my mouth watering already. I may have been to hasty on leaving the two burner at home. I have a grill that is custom made to fit the two burner that does a mean job on almost everything thrown on it.

I found a Teflon griddle that fits the 2 burner nicely at Walmart. About $11. Lot of work to make pancakes for 20-25 people though. I don't know if I'd go the pancake route on an ATV trip. What I usually do is premix Aunt Jamima original recipe and fill a couple gallon milk jugs with the batter. Easy to pour, easy to transport.

Here is how hard and heavy we get into our fly in fishing spots for 4 nights stay overs.
Our best Idea is a light trailer with road wheels that tows behind the truck, once at the ATV staging area we put on ATV wheels on the trailer for the rough trail ride. I have no pic of that trailer though.

But with no trailer you can load alot on the racks.

Moose I like the idea of pre-mixing the pancake batter. sure saves a lot of work getting a trail meal ready and packing up. The wife says we should have another griddle for the trip. We are looking at 8-10 of us for the may trip and baccon, eggs and cakes will take to long on one stove. Walmart look out the wife is smiling and saying "charge-ex"!
TLC nice pictures buddy, reminds me of the country and trails back in NB. My brother has a trailer that he hauls his bike on, when he gets to where he's going he pulls three pins on each side and the trailer slides in so that it tracks behind his Kawi. Takes about 15 minutes to reconfigure it.
