Would it surprise you to learn that helmet manufacturing has evolved to the point of using nanotechnology? The benefits are pretty wild:

That does surprise me. And it sounds like it's a good helmet.

Even though winter is in the closing stages for much of the nation, Can-Am has snow on the brain-piece. They feel it's time their side-by-sides start to benefit from some Ski-Doo R&D:

For $1,549 more than that they'll sell you a brand new 2019 Ski-Doo Expedition Sport touring/utility snowmobile that you can actually ride on snowmobile trails and do it legally.

What some of the states in New England are doing is making people with tracks on quads or side by sides pay the snowmobile registration fee. So they pay for the ATV registration and then the snowmobile for winter. Personally, I'd rather be on a sled. Only thing that would get me to buy tracks is if I did power line inspections or something like that where terrain can be too nasty for a regular quad.

This week a long-standing clutch manufacturer has become the latest to increase its longevity by aligning itself with a larger conglomerate:

This logo may not mean anything to you but it's been around since 1955 and Can-Am just got graced by their seal of approval:

It looks like working on ATVs is about to become a legit college major this year:

We told our sons we will help with college as long as you are learning to DO SOMETHING. STEM related coursework helps land a better paying job.

Nice to see a college is offering a program where a person can learn to do something. ATVs are rather complex. The techs who participate in these Forums, especially Old Polaris Tech, know there stuff and enjoy diagnosing a problem with limited descriptions, like "won't start".

It might be tough to get a 4 year degree in ATV/UTV mechanics as I would think the tech schools would be better equipped to provide the training and at a lower tuition cost.

I always thought I would like a career in mechanics; like diesel mechanics, or auto tech, and yes, working on ATVs would be fun for me. And it would likely earn a solid income.
