1993 Polaris Trail Boss 350L Starts with recoil, but not electric start.
Hey guys,
I’ve really gotten myself into a mess and would like some help! I took the engine from a wrecked 1997 Polaris 400L Xplorer and put it in the chassis of my seized 93’ 350L, all wiring was different and a nightmare to redo, but eventually I managed to get all components to work properly. But after about a year and quite a few hours put on the machine, it will not start via electric start, it will crank and fire, but die within seconds. Once out of every 15-20 tries it will start and run properly via electric start. However, with the recoil pull start, it will start right up on the first pull and run like a dream, with all electrical still working properly. I’ve tried changing the CDI, and the battery voltage reads out over 12 volts. Also I have checked to see if any connections were loose. The stator is also working properly as the battery charges at 14.3 volts while running. ANY tips would be appreciated, you guys probably know more than I do, Thanks!
