It's hard to beat a full size with a v-6 and the 5 speed.......

It's one of those things that wasn't funny as it was happening but the next day all you can do is laugh it off. Salt water does strange things to electrical systems!! Also does strange things to lungs!! Hey foneguy - Don't be sorry. If anything happens, it'll happen to me!!

I dont see how you can go without 4x4 in Co. take a look at a Ranger, or since you already own one Mazda, a b4000,( I think thats what they are, basically the ame as a Ranger). Anyhow, for 8,000 you could get a really nice extended cab ranger with v-6 and 5 speed, 4x4. I have a 2001, and while i do feels its not really a "mans" truck, I got mine fully loaded. So you can get a clapped out, high mileage full size(and who wants a v-6 in a full size???) or get a pretty nice Ranger or s-10. My banshee fits in the bed nicely and I have a bed extender, they fold out over the tailgate(when open) and give an extra 1 1/2 - 2 feet of bed room. The aftermarket has these for all sorts of trucks. Try Trucktrader.com

Hey RoostKing I think that truck would be a better for RancherDave. It's better to have the water in the truck than the truck in the water.

Seriously I had a Jeep Commanche 4x4 for 11 years and it was a great truck, but now I have a 1/2 GMC 6cyl auto 4x4 with a 8' bed and will never own another small pickup. Gas mileage is the same if not better than the Jeep and for hauling gear it's way better.
