I was just offered a skid-plate for my birthday. I would like to now what you guys think are the higher quality skid-plates. I was considering PRM or DG. But will consider others if they are better. Want good quality, mounting ease, and look good.

Thanks

I like Graydon...they fit well....as far as looks go...It's a skid plate...If it's doing it's job...it won't look good for long... But yes..they look pretty good.

Not sure whether you refer to a swing arm skid or a full chassis skid. I'm currently using a swing arm skid from Armadillo which seems to soak up the big rocks in the desert where I ride. I run an AC glide plate also which has held up for two years. The problem with the AC is (if you ride a 4 stroke) the oil drain hole doesn't line up well with the crankcase plug. I tried enlarging it but not much success so I finally resorted to removing the skid to change the oil..major pain!
I finally got a pump syphon to suck the oil out and it's great...no muss or fuss. PRM makes good stuff also. I've used their swing arm skids.
