We spent the weekend at Big Scrub Campground which is in the Ocala National Forest located in Ocala, Florida. Lots of sand, sand and more sand...too many whoops util you get away from the campground area. No real hills to speak of...but we get to see lots of bear tracks (and see a bear rarely, rattlesnakes, deer, foxes, etc...a few nice sink holes to play in...and miles and miles and miles of trails. GPS's are just about a necessity if you get too far from camp. Couple of nice fresh water springs to swim and cool off in. We camp and ride there at least every other weekend. Mud is rarely a problem as rain soaks into the sand quickly. There are a few places that are swampy if you want to see if you can "U-Boat" your quad. We stay away from the mud as much as possible due to the damage it causes....sand and water makes a great abrasive to destroy bearings chains and everything else ..

last weekend at the local pit, i whatched a 400ex and a z400 collide. the rider on the 400ex was probably doing 40-45 around a blind curve and hit one of my brothers friends on the z, the z rider cartwheeled in the air and ended up with a spraind/broken wrist,(not sure) the z had major damage, broken tie rods, broken a arms, bent frame, the ex only needs a new bumber. something to be said about the strength of steel versus aluminum and the amount of idiots on atvs

Me and a few friends went out goofing off on the local trails, spent about 13 hours going nowhere in particular (about 80 miles, with a good part of it in the rain). We got nice and muddy, climbed a few good hills, and did some quality socializing. Ended up coming out of the mountains several miles from the trailer due to my themostat sticking closed. Next time we make the trip we plan on logging about 110 miles total with a layover to watch a drag race or 10.

Last time out wen't West of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta in the Chambers Creek area. Ended up having to tow a 2001 Rubicon that had a trans. sensor go out of it behind my Scrambler 500 4x4 for 30 miles through some of the most god-awful terrain you ever saw! Was still fun though! I would occasionally throw it into two wheel drive and root on it and cover the guy I was pulling with mud.
