Default polishing

i took a drill and some wire bits and polished a rusty hatchet with it. i was thinking that maybe i could do the same thing with some small stuff on my quads, like the throttle cover, the risivoir cap, levers, shifter, etc.. will it work with the drill and some chrome polish???

i took the shifter off of my 400ex, put it in a vise, and took my drill and some wire bits, and ground the paint off of it. i also sorta polished it, but i have to get a buffer for the drill to make it really shine.
