I've won over $12,000 'twice' on the daily 4 lottery (and didn't give it all back by continuing to play more than very infrequently).
Believe me, it didn't make a darn bit of difference in 'my' life and amounted to no more than a few bills paid and a chunk out of the mortgage.
If you've got a house and half a brain..............what else are you going to do besides 'save it' or spend it directly ON YOUR FAMILY and not yourself?
I mean, we're talking 3 or 4 thousand here; after taxes!
Good topic and am curious to see what some of these guys will say in regards to what is really a 'chump' amount for a family man and what 'other' responsibilities they might truly have that don't necessarily take precedence.

I guess I'll answer my own question. Just because Warrior8me got me thinking a little bit. I've been wanting this Ruger All-Weather over and under shotgun for about 3 years now. Everytime I think about buying one I become responsible and buy new windows for the house or a furnace. I think if I won the $7000. I would just buy that shotgun and be responsible with the rest of the money. The only problem is I don't play the lottery. Don't like to give my money away.
