Default Giveaway (free stuff) for Forum Members?

ATV Connection Magazine would like to do something fun to show our appreciation for our wonderful forum members. We were thinking along the lines of a "treasure hunt" in the forums where there were clues to follow, or some other fun thing we could do, and then have give-away stuff for several of the winners.

The whole idea is something that would be fun for everyone. Something to let you all know how much we appreciate you.

We're looking for suggestions. Anyone have ideas of what we could do?

sounds like to much work to me. Why dont you skip the hunt and randomly select people...that would be nice

It sounds like a great idea dbeck, but I have to side with dancingqueen-I don't get a lot of
time on the computer. Between work, side-work, home projects, maintenance of my vehicles
and waiting for my better half to get off the internet I barely have enough time to check my
e-mails! LOL

Ah but a little work never hurt anyone. Sounds like a good idea. I'd say when you put up some new news on the main page you put a small pic, key word, something like that in a few of the stories and have us put them in a certain order for submission. You can't make it too easy or it won't be any fun. I've seen it done before but I don't want to give out any hints so if you want more info dbeck pm me.

I say just give away a MILLION Dollars. Do it Alphabetically, starting with random letters, like RPM. Yah, that would be a good place to start.

Just for the record, I'm not RPM, I stole his user name and picked the letters to start with at random.

No, REALLY.

O.K. how about both ideas?? I wouldn't mind the searching idea when I have the
time. But, as I said in my last post my time is limited

I think that is a great gesture to show your appreciation, thank you.

Does it suprise you alot of people don't want to do anything for it? Just hope you pull their name out of the hat?

Hope it all goes well and thank you again.

Let me tell you something Specta- I've never been afraid of working all my life! I think that
was a low blow to try to get yourself to look better. You take a walk in my shoes before you
go judging me! Dbeck wanted input and that's what I gave him.

And for the record, I think very highly of dbeck, the moderators and most members!!
In fact I've been tossing around the idea of asking dbeck and co. about us members
voluntarily donating a $5 or 10$ yearly dues in appreciation to them for such a
great and informative forum and magazine.

I think that the idea is a nice gesture. But I don't find myself wanting any "free stuff". Although it's nice to get something for free in a world that everything cost something. I guess I'm just glad that there is a decent atv forum to express our opinions. It helps fill the void between the atv magazine arrivals and atv driving time.

BUT! I still expect some kind of thankyou from Honda for all the negative comments that we've had to address lately. But I'm not holding my breath.
