I found something to strap the child to the front of me while riding. It's called a kid karrier and I purchased it from JR Graham Powersports Warehouse. Their phone number is 1-800-432-2238 and it is item number KG0123. It was $37.95 plus shipping and handling. It works great and lets you keep both hands on the handlebars.
