Default Which frame to use with a 1000cc triple

I will be getting a rotax 1000cc triple motor from a buddy of mine and was wondering which frame will be better to use, there is no way I am going to buy a custom built drag frame, so I was figuring on getting a used frame from either a banshee or a 400ex, if anyone has any other ideas please let me know. I have the ability and help from a partner that is a machinist so we can change or modify anything, so let me know what others are using or suggest.

thanks much

Banshee would be better than 400EX because it has a longer wheelbase, therefore it will be easier to fit into chassis. 1000cc Ski doo engine huh, it must be stroked cause I think the biggest they made was an 800, but I could be wrong. Arctic cat had the 1000cc thundercat. Man, that would be out of control (175hp stock, quad would weigh less than 500lbs).

a 250r would be bad lighter and handle better through the dunes but a sun of a bitch to mount. depends what kind of tranny and if it vibrates bad. a banshee would be beter for dragging or going straight.

Sand Mountain Nevada, Pismo Beach California.....I am hoping to get it finished by next May, for when I go to Oregon. Not sure how long it really will take because I am going to tear my Z400 after the first of the year when I get back from Pismo, I'm gonna rebuild the motor and make it a 440 on nitrous, plus I am switching it out to long travel. But when the triple gets done I will announce it on this website so I can get as many people to show up as possible.

It may have 175 horse to the crank, but you'll lose 30% of that with the cvt. More realistically you'll start with 150 and you'll lose 50 horse of that to the clutch. Which is 100 horses with a single speed weighing 500+ pounds. They arent as fast as you'd think they are. If you get your clutching figured out you might have a sporting chance, but tuning a cvt isnt easy

my buddies Arctic Cat will do 500' drags in the low 5 seconds, to me that is fast and with it in a banshee frame I am sure it will do just as good if not better

I mounted my GS 1,000 cc. in a LT250 frame, It took some streching and a big shoe horn but it worked great, Now I am mounting a 300 hp Hyabusa in it for next years season.
