I just put a CR500 in a 250x frame and i dont know what kind of gearing to run. I will be doing mostly flattrack racing and some drag racing. Does anybody know what kind of gearing i should use. Also what gearing would give me the highest top speed. My rear tires are 18x11-8. Please help.

 

Look Here - Keep in mind that CR500 gearing depends on the year model, but this should give you a baseline that will get you close.

 

Ive used gearing calculators like that before but i wanted to know what other people thought because my judgment is not always the best. And its an 84 CR500 the year before they were liquid cooled. So if anyone has any suggestions then they are welcome
