How to repair cracked/cracking plastic
Repairing plastic
Dose anyone have any good suggestions on how to repair cracked/cracking plastic? Bought my kids a Scrambler 90 and it went into the shop (Chaparral in San Bernardino, CA.) for repairs and the fools could have cared less about cracking the plastic. They way over tightened down almost everything! I’m very angry
about it and thought about writing letters to them but have just decided not to. There was nothing good about my experience with Chaparral (in San Bernardino) and just decided to leave it as a lesson learned.
I’m looking to hear from anyone that has successfully repaired plastic. Is there any product that will bond plastic to plastic? If I could glue/bond another piece of plastic to the cracked mounts, I could drill another hole for the bolt/fastener to mount to the frame.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you have a spreading crack, in plastic, try drilling a small hole, at the end of the crack, that will stop it from getting worse.
Ive used fiberglass matting and two part epoxy, any hobby store has some, its stong and grips good, but is kind of ugly, so i put it on, on the underside.
