I just ordered a set of Boyesen reeds for my ATV. They cost me $45. Am I going to see a $45 difference in the acceleration of the atv? Give me some feedback. Thanks in advance.

quite simply..........NO, reeds don't really do what they advertise. You might see better throttle response and that's about it. The only true horsepower builder is the Moto Tassinari Delta Force reed cage. These are quite expensive however. I am not a great believer in the Boysen reed either, there dual reed set up is nothing more than great advertising and tricking the consumer. Reeds open and close (they never really "close") so fast that the all the split reed design does is distort, which is what you don't want. I run TDR reeds in my banshee, I did notice improved throttle response, but that's all you can expect. They cost me $32 for the pair. Don't expect $45 worth of improvement, it ain't happening. In fact $45 don't buy you much these days, cept maybe a gallon of oil and some spark plugs.

The V-Force Delta 2 Reed cage is much better. Reeds alone can only move the power. If you gain top end, you lose bottom end. The Delta-2 cage will give you an across the board improvement.

I agree totally. The Delta force is the ONLY power makeing reed system that works. RAM valve, RAD valves, or any of the others just move power around, don't actually make more of it.

This will probably cause all kinds of stress for most people...But just changing the reeds alone is doing nothing for you.....the only way an aftermarket reed will help..is if you change the reed cage along with it.

I ordered a set of V-force delta reed valves but they are the old type and I was wondering if they will fit a 00 Banshee.

ALL Banshee motors are the same 87'-00'. The only difference that I know of is the main jet size from the first couple years is different (1 size). That's it.
