well here is an update to my earlier post.....
all the fluids were removed. the gas tank was drained, trans was drained etc. fresh gas was placed in quad along with trans fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, and a new plug. same result the quad would start no problem. however as soon as it got warm, it would just die. my mech check all the connections and everything was in order. he also checked the voltage or charge in all the places and they are exactly where they are supposed to be. try to start the quad again and when it is cool, it fires right up. but when warm it dies(giving no spark either) So can anybody put their 2cents in and help me out before I flip out and buy all electical wiring and components?
very frustrated ron

The ignition coil can quit working when hot if it is defective. Its hard to check it because when its cool they test out fine. If you have a buddy with the same one swap it and see if it works. They can be a little spendy to buy one just to try and most places wont take electrical parts back once you open them.
Another thing to check is the coil pick-up which can act the same way with heat.

Have you disassembled the carb and cleaned the needle and seat? As well as all the passages and jets in the carb? It sounds like a definate fuel problem, if the bike only runs 50-100 feet, the coil has no time to get hot enough too cause problems, then fire right back up. Try loosening the bolt or screw on the fuel bowl, and see if it is draining fuel out, alot of fuel, not just what is already in the bowl.
