my brother is selling an lt50 and my 7 yr old son loves it, it has been used three times in a year and is mint, retail is 1300 but he only wants 650 for it, my son is small for his age so i dont want to get him a bigger one, that will come in time, i heard there is 3 limiters on this model so could anyone give me a hint on how to do it, thanks for all your help

 

shave the head .040"-.050" stock compression is 6.5:1 (not sure on those measurments bit I would think you have alot to work with)
clean up casting flaws in port (optional)
drill out the jet a couple sizes
remove exhaust restrictor plate (right at head under head pipe)
adjuts WOT jet screw for max engine rpm

get kid a good helmet he will need it
they run pretty good with a little work

 

oh ya I forgot to mention
REMEMBER the LT50 does not have front brakes so at 7 years old your son might be getting a bit big
my little guy was getting to heavy for the brakes to work going down hill
LT 80 is definatly better as it has fron brakes

 

its selling at a good price my idea is let him ride it for awhile than sell it and make a profit. and get him a bigger quad.
