A 4 stroke would never hurt a tree.



I think we just came up with a slogan to promote 4 strokes and eliminate 2 strokes!

Commercial starts out with a red neck drinking no-name beer and using a smokey 2 stroke chain saw to cut down a tall oak tree. (booo, hisss)

Then shows a clean burning 4 stroke hole digger drilling a hole to plant a new happy tree. (applause)

As I see it 4 strokes are getting more powerful because companys are spending time trying to get as much power out of them as posible. Try this, what if suzuki offered the quadzilla again, ported, and tuned to make maximum horsepower. It would be crazy. I think two strokes are better. im building a quad with a 440 liquifire snowmobile engine in it, can you say ROOST!

I think that at some point we must agree to disagree. since 4-strokes are not yet up to the technology necessary to maximize their potential, and with 2-strokes said to be on their way out, both have down sides. and for those of us that ride now not much will change other than some (who know how many could be alot or a little) improvements for the 4-strokes, but the 2-strokes will by no means be gone for the next 30 years either. For now accept that there are pros and cons to each side. both can be modded to amazing performance. so unless there is some unforseen tecnological landslide that will make 4-strokes the best, or a total ban of 2-strokes neither side is going anywhere for some time. I don't think anyone can or will persuade anyone either way. I prefer 4 and my friend prefers 2. It all comes down to personal preference and what mods you feel like (or can afford) to make to customize your quad for exactly what you want. To use a famous quote.... "can't we all just get along?"
With that said I must admit that I have yet to be beaten by a 2-stroke. Keep in mind that I have yet to run against any seriously modded lt250r's or any 250r's. But if/when I am beaten I will just wait for them to foul a plug and offer to tow them back to camp with a broad smile on my face. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
