How about we ask the manufactures to widen the spectrum.
They should offer either a ultra small displacement 2 stroke running on nitro methane or a super heavy turbo diesel 4 stroke.

after all the arguing i kinda forgot what fun is... i have to say that i love my 4-stroke. however, i wish i had a 250r (banshee's r everywhere, i like to be a lil dif.) cuz i could buy all the parts i need from LSR or somebody, and make a fast bike in my garage. i mean, there's a bunch of companies that sell larger displacement top ends, and u get a longer crank with a spacer plate, that's all nut and bolt type stuff. if i wanna mod my 450r i gotta pay some serious cash to get it bored and all that crap. i realize that i essentially don't know crap about building a motor, but i know enough to know that i could build a decent 2-stroke. i kinda forgot where i was going with this, but i have to agree with beechman. i ride at pismo, and there's 250r, lt500r, banshee, 3-wheelers, and lots of 4-strokes. i've seen some guys on 250r's and banshees jumping with the best of them. but then again, i also see lots of people with their tricked out, all chrome and powder coat 250r's with triple rate shocks who won't do anything other than bowl ride for fear of damaging their machine. you get every type of rider at the dunes, unlike the mx track. again, i lost track of what i was saying. so i'll toss this into the mix, if 2-strokes r so great, how come the backflip has only ever been done on a 4-stroke???
