What about the Kawasaki H2 750???
Aw yes, the Kawi triple...basically three 250cc singles combined to make one mean drag bike. My brother-in-law rebuilt one and I had the priledge to ride it, this was a good 10 years ago. That thing was scary fast!!! Not a good turning bike but try chasing it down the strip. Kudos to you for giving it mention.

if the 2 stroke was sooooo great, y r all the street bikes 4 strokes
Big boys need big toys.
There's nothing wrong with the 4-strokes that are out there, but the 2-stroke is just plain better. More power, less weight. There is no argument.

i'm still waitin for somebody to tell me how 80hp from a 2-stroke is more than 80hp from a 4-stroke....
hey beech, i will line my bloated elephant 450R up against ur crankenstein any day. if for nothing more than a good view of it takin off the line, cuz after 40 feet, i'm gonna see nothin but roost. u 2-stroke guys don't scare me!!!! although, i'd like to see a 2-stroke launch off the top of a dune, that's somethin i have yet to see. is there a reason for this? or am i jus not seein something?

There was a street bike with a motor very similar to a banshee. They dont make two stroke street bikes because of emissions and you cant find 2-stroke oil at every gas station. 2-stroke street bikes would be faster than 4-strokes if they were in production. A 1000 cc 2-stroke stock would probley put out about 220hp vs a 160hp 4-stroke. less maitinace and lighter. wait the same difference with dirt dikes. Its just on the street. 4 strokes is 2 strokes too many to make real power for displacement.

Oh come on now. 2 strokes are so reliable. Don't you know thats why they make all those 2 stroke generators that run forever?
And all those wonderful 2 strokes that get better fuel efficiency too.
NOT! lol.

I've re-read the post that you quoted three times and I don't see the word reliable in there anywhere. Do you need to go to remedial reading class? As far as reliable 2-strokes, I just sold my '93 250 Trail Boss last year. Ran like new and the motor was never touched. I've had 3 2-stroke quads, 7 snowmobiles and still use my '75 Lawn Boy mower and not ONE of them ever needed motor work.

Look dude, everybody knows what’s up with 2 stroke engines. Yes they put out more power per cubic inch and yes they're lighter. But your missing the point.
Most Prefer 4 strokes. The sales PROVE IT.
You’re stoned if you say 2 strokes need less maintenance than a 4 stroke. Check the sales stats for needed rings, jugs, bearings and reeds.
Speaking of ignorance, your 2 choke brethren are saying that their engines get better fuel efficiency than a 4 stroke. Yea, that's why you see so many 2 stroke engines in the automotive industry.
Don't think you’re better than everyone because you think nobody knows about port timing, compression ratios, and pop up pistons. It's old news.
I'm almost sure everyone here has owned a 2 stroke before and knows the power bands and such.
The masses just want something better and so they make their choice.
Get a clue, deal with it, and get a grip.
