Blaster 500
#1
Hey guys I need some help on this one.
I want to put a 500cc 2 stroke engine into a blaster frame. I was looking at kx500, cr500, and lt500s. I do not know which one would work best. Im only 13 so money is an issue but Im getting a job so it wont be too bad. Any help where i could get a motor would be help too. If i compleated this project does anyone know about how fast it would go? Thanks Troy

do you have any experience doing this type of swap, because you'll need a mig welder, cutting tools, a little geometry and planning, how your going to route the pipe and silencer, changing the electronics, and so on, I realize your just a teenager, but you have to have careful planning to do an engine swap, a 500 engine puts out massive torque compared to a stock blaster, you will undoubtedly crack if not break the stock swing arm, plus the suspension will never be able to handle the added stress, maybe you might want to wait a few years until you have some more experience and knowledge in doing this task, as I have done them, and as a middle aged adult, its not easy to do and do it right, don't take this post as a cut down, its not meant to be that way, I'm just letting you know from experience what it will take to do the job.
