AIR BOX LEAK
#1
I WAS JUST OUT RIDING AND I TOOK THE SEAT OFF AND THE AIR BOX COVER AND WATER IS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX....I THINK IT GOT IN FROM THE SPLASH FROM THE BACK TIRES. BECAUSE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX THEIRS WATER TOO.
HOW DO I PREVENT WATER FROM COMING IN???
AND I ALSO WANT TO RE-LOCATE THE AIR BREATHER...IT BEGINS SOMEWHERE ON THE FRONT OF THE ATV, I WANT TO MAKE IT HIGHER BECAUSE I RIDE IN PRETTY DEEP WATER....SOMETHING LIKE A SNORKEL....ANY HELP ANYONE???

Yes that would work. Irun a vented lid & I sometimes duct tape over the vents when I wash the quad..when I think of it
On the breather, just buy some rubber hose at your auto parts store with the same inside dimension & the length you want to run it up near the bars.

Yes Duct tape ROCK ON! LOL Im sorry im not making fun of you at all but I just have to do that when someone uses duct tape to fix something. A friend of mine was riding his dirt bike and cracked a rear fender and you can imagine what held that thing on for the remainder of the weekend. Anyways I think the saran wrap idea was pretty good just put the screws through it it should work pretty good.

Yes the hose idea is good...now I just have to find where the breather begins...does anyone that has the 200SX know where it is???, I tried to look for it and I can't find it(I know it's somewhere at the front under the plastic.
And how do I get at it?

Ok I found where the breather sucks air into.
I thought of having a bendable hose fit over the hose that connects to the air box...because 2 pipes come toghether there and I could unhook them and attach a new pipe and run it up near my handle bars.
Is it best to have the pipe point frontwards or backwards when it's up near the handle bars???
