For more acceleration go down in the front or up in the back, but you will drop your top speed around 5mph to a tooth in the front. 1 tooth in the front is equal to 3 in the back. for more top speed go up in the front or down in the back. dont start changing your rear sproket untill your close to where you want you power range at. then buy a rear if you want to get inbetween where your at. Use the rear to fine tune your gearing. Rear sprockets are like 50 -60$ as a front will cost 20-30$. Also its good to replace both your sprockets and your chain if your old ones look worn out but not required. hope this helps.
