what will this change on my z as regards to torque acceleration and top speed.

 

You will loose low end, accelerate slower, and gain some on top.

 

try using a 14 tooth in front and a 40 tooth in back. I am running this on my Lt500 and it seems to work like a charm.

 

go to this site, it allows you to select any gear ratio you want and gives you your new speed in all 5 gears. its pretty cool

I run a 14/41, it gives me more low end or acceleration, the guy i baught it off had it like that and i am pleased so i have yet to experiment with any other ratios.

 

Hmmmmmmmm....

I'd say 95% of Z's out there run this gearing already...

BECAUSE THAT IS STOCK GEARING!
